SHORT STORIES SUCK

By the title, you might assume I don't like short stories, but it is the absolute opposite. I love them, but I find them grueling and difficult to create "correctly."

I have done my best to write more short stories because I find them so hard to write.

Through this series of stories, I will play with ideas that I doubt I will ever turn into a full novel. It's a playground for me.

Having fun with the story, but doing it quickly! (That is not true; short stories can take forever to get done—more on that later)

The short stories I post will be "stream of consciousness," and I will most likely not edit them much since this is a place to play and move on, not spend hours and hours fixing things.

I will, however, eventually go back and edit them. But I want this to be a place where we can work together, share ideas and feedback, and remember what makes us love books and stories.
